    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    Cinnamon Sugar
    Cream sugar, butter, shortening. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Beat in dry ingredients. Make 48 balls, about the size of small walnuts. Roll in cinnamon sugar. Arrange on parchment lined cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with heel of hand.


Bake at 375 for 9-12 minutes until becoming golden.
Leave on pan until just warm.
