2 lbs ground beef (ground turkey or chicken will work as will stew beef cut in bits or shredded chicken)
    1 Lg onion
    1 TBSP garlic
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper
    2 tsp tumeric
    2 tsp cinnamon
1 small can of tomato paste
1 bag of fresh green beans.
1 tsp saffron (dissolved in water add at the END) (Optional)

3 cups basmati rice cooked in 1 tbsp water (cook halfway)
    8 cups water

RICE and Meat mixture should harden and brown (not blacken) on the bottom. This creates Persian tadique, which is crunchy and delicious!

Add 1 TBSP olive oil (optional) and sautee meat, diced onions, minced garlic and spices all in a cooking pot until brown. Add in green beans - quarter the beans. In separate pot par-boil the rice and salt. Drain and then mix in with meat mixture. Once the meat is mixed with rice pour dissolved saffron over rice and fold in to blend. Let simmer on stove for 45-60 minutes on medium.
