Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1-1/2 lb lean ground beef
    1 Tb. oil
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    2 Tb. chili powder
    1 14 oz. can diced tomatoes
    1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
    1 lb. can red kidney beans

Directions

Brown beef in frying pan in hot oil. Add the onion and garlic and fry for 3 minutes. Pour off the accumulated fat. Stir in the chili powder and add the tomatoes with their juice and the tomato sauce. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Rinse the beans and add to the chili. Continue cooking for 10 minutes. 6 servings
