    8-count crescent rolls
    1 apple (I used honeycrisp)
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c sugar
    1/2 c brown sugar (packed)
    1 t vanilla extract
    1 t cinnamon
    4 ozs Mountain Dew


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Slice apple into 8 slices.
Roll each apple slice into a crescent roll, starting on the smaller end of the roll. Place in 8 x 8 inch pan in 2 rows of 4.
In saucepan, melt butter and stir in both white and brown sugars, and the vanilla. Bring to a boil until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
Pour butter/sugar mixture over crescent rolls in pan.
Pour Mountain Dew around the rolls (not on top of them) until it reaches about halfway up side of the rolls.
Sprinkle rolls with cinnamon.
Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
