    8 c WHEAT GRAINS, approx 1 1/2 c uncooked
    1 16oz can Tomatoes, canned, spanish style, 2 cup
    1/2 c Onions, raw, chopped
    2 Tbsp Cumin - Ground
    2 Tbsp Paprika, ground
    1/2 tsp Turmeric, ground
    1 dash black pepper
    3 Tbsp Pace Chunky Salsa - Mild
    1/4 lb ground 93% lean beef


if you aren't used to a high fiber diet, this dish may cause some mild diarhea issues... so don't over eat with it!


Check wheat kernels for chaff, and rinse. Put in soup pan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Should bubble for about twenty minutes, or until the kernels pop easily... stir frequently. Add remaining ingredients and allow to simmer for at least another 20 minutes: just like homemade chili with beans, you may need to add water along the way, and you can allow it to simmer as long as you need to.
