A rich and smokey soup perfect for cold winter days... A rich and smokey soup perfect for cold winter days...
Number of Servings: 4


    All ingredients used are organic...

    1.5 cups dried peas, rinsed
    3 small carrots, peeled and sliced
    3 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tbsp bacon drippings
    48 oz spring water
    Sea salt and ground black pepper to taste


In a small stockpot,
Carmelize onions and carrots in bacon drippings;
Add peas, water, salt, pepper and bacon;
Simmer for 2 hours partially covered.
Stir frequently.

Serving Size: Makes 4 1 cup servings
