    2 Tbsp ground flax seed
    3 Tbsp warm water
    2 cups cooked chickpeas
    1 cup quick oats
    1 medium carrot, grated or chopped fine
    1 stalk bok choy, chopped fine (may use celery or onion instead)
    1/4 cup vegetable broth
    2 Tbsp nutritional yeast (not brewers yeast)
    1/2 Tbsp onion powder
    1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
    1/2 Tbsp curry powder
    Parchment paper


Note that the sodium content shown is based on canned chickpeas, if soak and cook dry chickpeas the sodium will be much lower.


Mix the ground flax seed with the warm water and set aside until it gels.

Preheat oven to 350

Line baking sheet with parchment paper

Chop or grate your vegetables.

Put the chickpeas in a food processor and process until well mashed, or mash with a fork if you prefer.

Put mashed chickpeas, quick oats, vegetables, vegetable broth, nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, curry powder, and flax seed/water mixture in large bowl, mix well with hands.

Form 6 equal sized patties and put on the parchment lined baking sheet. Place in oven, bake for 20, flipping half-way through.

You may also grill these on a BBQ, cooking time will vary based on the amount, heat, and nearness of coals... so use your own judgment.
