Introduction

Amazing zulu sauce from the Bengal BBQ in Disneyland. I used lite soy sauce to cut sodium and I put it on just about anything! I use it for veggie kabobs for my vegan friends and on beef for my boyfriend and I. Just amazing.

(The website was originally distributed by Disney for use, although it is now hard to find, and I tweaked it...)

Ingredients

    1 cup Teriyaki Sauce
    1 cup Lite Soy Sauce
    1 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
    1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
    ½ cup Sherry Cooking Wine
    2 – whole Bay Leaf
    1 Tablespoon ground black pepper
    2 Tablespoon fresh ginger root
    2 Tablespoon fresh garlic

    Cornstarch as needed to thicken.

Tips

Can be used as a marinade or as a sauce when using the BBQ. If you like things a little more spicy... add chili flakes.

If you are going to use as a marinade only use part of it, so that you don't contaminate the whole batch! Keeps very well in the fridge.

Directions

Combine all ingredients together and cook over a low heat until bubbling and warm. Remove bay leaves.

Combine cornstarch with cold water and slowly add to mixture to thicken as needed.
