Introduction

This is herby and spicy shrimp with a kick, in a buttery-beer sauce. It's fast, easy and delicious. Great as an appetizer or as a dinner over brown rice and with a salad.

Ingredients

    2 lbs shrimp, shelled and deveined (ok to use pre-cooked shrimp)
    4 TB butter
    2 tsp garlic, minced
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp dried basil
    1 tsp dried thyme
    1 tsp cayenne pepper
    1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
    1/2 tsp salt, to taste
    1/2 tsp black pepper, to taste
    1/2 cup beer (regular beer was calculated in the nutritional info in this recipe)

Tips

Do not overcook shrimp or it gets rubbery.


Directions

1. Saute garlic and herbs in butter until garlic is slightly browned.
2. Add shrimp, stirring constantly, until shrimp are pink and done. If using pre-cooked shrimp, stir until heated through.
3. Pour in beer, simmer 1 minute more, and serve!
