1 box low sodium vegetable broth (4 cups)
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    4 garlic cloves
    4 cans black beans
    1 can diced green chiles
    2 tbsp tomato paste
    1 tbsp cumin
    1 tsp cayenne pepper
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tbsp nutritional yeast
    1/4 cup fresh cilantro

Heat 1/2 cup of the veggie broth over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper and garlic until soft and the broth is used up. Add black beans, diced green chiles, spices, tomato paste, and rest of the veggie broth. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes. If you want, mash some of the beans to make the soup thicker. Take off heat and stir in nutritional yeast and cilantro.
