    2 cans tomato paste
    2 cans tomato sauce
    1 can tomato puree
    4 cans italian style diced tomatoes
    1 c beef broth
    2 cans mushrooms (or 12 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms)
    1 green bell pepper chopped
    4 tbl chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic chopped
    2 tbl italian seasoning
    4 tbl sugar
    1 lb cooked ground beef
    1/2 c grated parmesean cheese


This recipe makes enough for at least 2 meals. It can be refridgerated for 4 days or frozen. It tastes very good reheated. It can be used for any type of pasta, lasagna or other baked dishes and is pretty good for homemade pizza.


This can be made in a dutch oven on the stove or in a crock pot. I usually cook it 2 hours on the stove or 4 hours in the crock pot. Empty the tomato pauce, sauce and puree into the pot. Add the diced tomatoes, broth, mushrooms, pepper, onions, seasoning and sugar. Stir, cover and cook on low. When a half hour of cooking time remains add the ground beef and parmesean cheese, stir and cover.

Serving Size: Makes 8 1 cup servings with left overs
