    16 oz (1lb) of Mild ground Italian sausage
    16 oz (1lb) ground 93/7 turkey (I use Jennie-O)
    About a cup of bread crumbs
    1 jar Prego heart smart tomato sauce (or your favorite, i just happen to love this kind, also use 2 cans if your using anything other then prego heartsmart because it comes in a large container.)
    1 egg


To make meatball sandwiches, hollowout a few sandwich rolls, toast and scoop meatballs and sauce into them. top with your favorite cheese.


To make the bread crumbs, put 3 slices of bread directly on the rack of your oven at 200 degrees and let them chill for 15- 20 minutes
In the meantime, place everything but the tomato sauce in a bowl and mix it up to well combined.
Take the bread out of the oven and use a food processer or blender to make crumbs. Add to the bowl.
Pour sauce into a pot and turn on medium.
Heat up a large non-stick pan with a couple tablespoons of oil.
Shape your meatballs into approx. 1 inch balls.
Brown the meatballs in patches and place in the hot sauce, cover and let boil until cooked thru (15-20 min.)

Serving Size: makes 20-30 meatballs, depending on how big you make them.
