A very tasty snack that is also healthy! A very tasty snack that is also healthy!
Number of Servings: 20


    2 bunches of whole kale leaves
    1 1/2 cups raw cashews
    1 lemon (juiced)
    1/2 cup nutritional yeast
    1 tsp sea salt
    1 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp salt free seasoning blend of your choice
    dash of cayenne pepper
    water (approx. 1/3)


serving size is actually 1/2 cup


Remove kale stems and cut leaves into palm-size pieces.
Put all other ingredients in a blender, slowly adding water during blending until mixture is slightly runny, but still like a paste.
Place kale in a large bowl. Pour mixture over kale and stir to coat. I use my dehydrator-teleflex sheets for 2 hours at 105 degrees. Remove teleflex sheets, turn leaves over and dehydrate for another 2 hours or until leaves are crispy. You can also turn your oven to its lowest setting and use parchment paper on cookie sheets. In the oven, it will take less time, so watch it closely, so it doesn't burn.
