    1 cup flour
    .25 tsp salt
    .25 tsp baking powder
    .5 tsp baking soda
    .5 tsp ground cloves
    .5 tsp ground cinnamon
    .5 tsp ground nutmeg
    1 cup sugar
    6 Tbsp softened butter
    1 egg
    1 cup pumpkin puree


Beat sugar and butter together until blended. Add egg and beat again. Beat in pumpkin, then add flour and spices, blending everything together well. Pour batter into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes or until toothpick stuck in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then place onto cooling rack until completely cool.

(Can add cream cheese frosting, but this adds calories, too!)
