8 large prawns/shrimp...cleaned and deveined with small end of tail left on to make them easy to pick up

    1 Tablespoon olive oil

    Juice of half a lemon

    2 teaspoons, packed brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon Tabasco (or other 'Louisiana style' hot sauce)

    2 dashes black pepper

    2 dashes salt

Males 1 serving

Rinse, clean and devein prawns/shrimp but leave a little section of the tail on for ease of handling when eating

In a bowl add all other ingredients except Tabasco. Mix well. Add prawns/shrimp. Cover and marinate for 15 minutes in refrigerator.

Heat oven to 450 degrees.

Remove shrimp from refrigerator. Add Tabasco and toss with the prawns/shrimp and the marinade.

Place prawns/shrimp on a cookie sheet and bake 5-7 minutes or until the prawns/shrimp are opaque and marinade is a glossy, brownish color. Serve! You can also grill these. Serve with a salad for a great light supper. Also makes lovely h'ordeurves.
