    3/4 cup vegetable broth
    3 Tbs balsamic vinegar
    2 Tbs soy sauce
    1 tsp dried thyme
    3 garlic cloves minced or grated

    1 block firm tofu


mix together the ingredients for the marinade

cut the tofu into 8 equal planks

Put the tofu in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it

Let it sit for at least an hour flipping the tofu pieces after 30 minutes

preheat the oven to 375

spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray

take the tofu out of the marinade and place the tofu on the sheet in a single layer

Bake for 20 minutes

flip the tofu pieces and spoon some marinade over them and bake for another 10 minutes

you can either take them out of the oven to use them or put them under the broiler for 3-4 minutes to add a little color and texture
