Introduction

Lite alternative to rice pilaf full of whole grain goodness! Lite alternative to rice pilaf full of whole grain goodness!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup rinsed quinoa
    2 cups water
    1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
    3 Tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
    .5 teaspoon hot chili sauce( I used siracha brand)
    1 teas chicken bouillion( i used Bettern than bouillion low sodium brand)

Tips

you can also add chopped veggies to this for a more filling dish. Diced carrots, peas, squash, eggplant, bell peppers etc.


Directions

Rinse quinoa well....place in pot. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to just hot enough to keep at a boil and cook uncovered until almost all liquid has evaporated( about 15 minutes) Stir well- cover and turn heat off- leave o burner for 5 minutes to get fluffy.

Fluff with fork and serve anywhere you'd use rice.

Serving Size: make 4 servings about 2/3 cup each
