Introduction

This recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law -- who I expect got it from her mother-in-law. This recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law -- who I expect got it from her mother-in-law.

Ingredients

    2 pounds ground round or chuck
    1 medium onion, grated
    1 slice of bread OR 16 squares of crackers, crushed
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup skim milk
    2 stalks of celery, cut-up fine
    1 tsp salt
    Pinch of black pepper
    Pinch of sage

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients together and place in baking dish of your choosing (no lid). Bake for 1.5 hours.

Serving Size: Makes approximately eight 4-ounce servings.
