Introduction

Moong dal dumplings in flavored yogurt. Moong dal dumplings in flavored yogurt.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup moong dal flour
    2 green chilies finely chopped(optional)
    Asafoetida a pinch
    1 cup yogurt
    1/2 tsp ginger paste or finely chopped
    2 tsp lemon juice
    Salt to taste


Tips

Try to beat the mix with beater for fluffier and lighter dumplings. Test it putting a small drop into a glass of water and if it floats means ready to cook.


Directions

Mix all the ingredients(except yogurt) and mix into thick paste adding very little water only. preheat the sandwich maker and grease it with oil. Add fruit salt to the batter and fold it lightly and pour spoon full mixture on sandwich maker's sections and then cook them. When ready dip the dumplings in water and squeeze the extra water.
Now prepare yogurt by beating for a minute or two and adding salt and little asafoetida and dip those dumplings into it. garnish with green coriander or cilantro and serve with sprinkle of cumin powder.

Serving Size: makes about 24 pieces (one inch each)
