    Olive Oil, 1/4 cup
    Onions, raw, 1/2 cup, chopped
    Garlic, crushed, 1 clove
    Parsley, 2 tbsp
Canned Italian Tomatoes, 2 lb, 3 oz.
Tomato Paste, 2 can (6 oz)
    Basil, 1 tsp
    Oregano, ground, 2 tsp
    Salt, 1 tbsp
    Pepper, black, 1/4 tsp
    Granulated Sugar, 1 tbsp
    Salt, 1 tbsp
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 16 oz
    Parmesan Cheese, grated, 3 oz
    *Pasta, Lasagna Noodles, 8 oz
*Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 32 oz

Using first 11 ingredients, make the tomatoe sauce for the pasta.

1. Slowly heat oil in a large, deep heavy skillet. in hot oil, saute onion, garlic, and parsley until onion is translucent and tender.

2. Add Ground Turkey. You can substitute 1/2 lb of Ground Chuck, and 1/4 lb of Ground Pork if you are a diehard and want the beef flavor. I always make it with Ground Turkey and it tastes great.
Saute the meat until it is browned.

3. Add rest of sauce ingredients to skillet. Stir to mix well. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 3 hrs. Stir sauce occasionally during cooking.

The last hour of the sauce cooking, you can start the noodles, etc.

4. In a large kettle bring 3 quarts of water to a boil. Add the 1 tbsp of salt and the 1 tbsp of olive oil to the water.

5. Add lasagna noodles 2 or 3 at a time to boiling water. Bring the water back to a boil.

6. Drain noodles and rinse under hot water.

7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13 x 9 x 2" baking dish.

8. To Assemble Lasagna, spoon a third of the tomatoe sauce evenly in the bottom of the dish. Over sauce layer 1/3 of each: noodles, mozzarella, and parmesan. If you like Ricotta Cheese, you can layer that in as well.

9. Repeat layering twice until all ingredients is used. You should end with the parmesan cheese.

10. Bake uncovered 45-50 minutes or until cheese is melted and the top is browned.

11. Take lasagna out of the oven and let it stand 10-15 minutes before cutting to make serving easier.

Makes 9 servings.
