    2 cups kidney beans
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 clove garlic minced
    1/2 cup white rice
    1 1/2 cups chicken broth
    2 cups tomato puree
    2 slices bacon cooked & crumbled
    3 tsp tabasco
    1/2 tsp oregano
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper


Saute onion & garlic with cooking spray. Put rice, broth, tomato puree, beans, bacon & seasoning in slow cooker. Add onion and garlic. Cook on low for 3 1/2 hours. Serving size about 1 cup. Good with corn bread.
