Introduction

I bought and made boxed pasta salad... I tasted it and decided it "needed" something, so I threw in some extra stuff... Everyone liked it. I made my version the next day and everyone seemed to like it more... So here's my take! I bought and made boxed pasta salad... Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

2 cup Tri Color Rotini, uncooked
    1/2 cup Italian Salad Dressing
6 oz Canned Tuna, packed in Water, drained.
    1 cup Chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
    1 cup Croutons, plain

Tips

This salad tastes even better when prepared the day before, and allowed to sit and soak up all the good flavors of the dressing, so everything melds together good.

Directions

Cook pasta per package directions, leaving it slightly Al Dente. Strain. Pour into a glass or plastic mixing bowl. Drain the tuna fish (give your kitties the fish water, they will love it!!) add the tuna and dressing to the pasta. Stir well, making sure the tuna breaks up good and small. Add the chickpeas and stir to blend. Only add the croutons if the entire salad will be eaten at this setting... If it's not going to be, then, sprinkle one serving of croutons on each dish of salad. Cover and refrigerate the left over salad.

Serving Size: 8 - half cup servings, with croutons sprinkled on top.
