This is my version of Skinny B or Holy Crap cereal (I added steet cut oats as well). This is my version of Skinny B or Holy Crap cereal (I added steet cut oats as well).
Number of Servings: 26


    2 c chia seeds
    2 c steel cut oats
    2 c buckwheat groats
    2 c hemp hearts (shelled hemp seeds)


Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
To use: place 1/3 cup cereal in a bowl and add water to cover. Let sit 5 min to overnight. The chia seeds will thicken the cereal. Stir and add yogurt and fruit if desired (nutritional info is for the cereal only).

* You can use milk, soy milk, juice or any liquid really to "cook" the cereal.
* You can add cinnamon or other spices as well.
* I usually add ground flax seed, but you have to grind this fresh or keep it in the freezer. If you just add it and store it with the main cereal contents it will lose its nutritional value.
*For my weekday breakfasts, I take 5 containers, put the cereal and water in them, and put them in the fridge - they keep fine for 5 days. Before I leave for work, I take one of the containers out and add greek yogurt and fruit (fresh or frozen).
