    .5 kg lean ground turkey
    1 tbsp light margarine
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 garlic cloves
    1 tsp (5 mL) salt
    lots of fresh ground Pepper, to taste
    2 14 oz cans crushed tomato
    2 14 oz cans of water
    1-1/2 cups (375 mL) uncooked long grain rice
    1 large cabbage, shredded (about 8-10 cups)
    light sour cream (optional)


Original recipe calls for 1kg ground beef.


Put the onions in a skillet with a bit of butter until soft. Add the ground turkey and brown. Once the turkey is cooked, add the salt, pepper, minced garlic, tomato and water to the beef mix. Bring to a boil and add your rice. Cover and simmer for 20 mins. Layer cabbage, then beef/rice mixture, then cabbage and then beef/rice mixture in a 9x12 baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees farenheit for 1 hour. You can eat with sour cream if you like.
