Ingredients

1 Western Alternative pita, split in half
1 medium apple, chopped
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp brown xylitol (i.e. Ideal)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp fat free cream cheese (or Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese)
Directions
After tearing pita in half microwave for 30 seconds.
Put chopped apple in microwavable bowl, cover with cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla, and microwave for about 2 minutes or until soft.
Spread 1 tbsp cream cheese on each half of the pita, and fill each half with half of the apple mixture. Let cool slightly and dig in!!
Serving Size: makes 2 dessert or snack-size servings
