Ingredients

    1-1 1/2 cups cooked swiss chard leaves (about 5 or 6), chopped very fine
    1 cup shredded swiss cheese
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    4 T. onion
    1 cup sliced mushrooms--I left out and increased the onions
    2 eggs
    1 cup whipping cream
    1 t. salt
    1 t. sugar
    9" pie crust

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Saute onions and mushrooms (or chard stems, if using). Layer in bottom of pie crust. Combine 2 cheeses and layer next. Distribute cooked chard evenly over cheese.

Mix eggs, cream, salt, and sugar. Pour over layers in crust. Cook on 425 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 and continue cooking for 30 more minutes. Let stand about 10 minutes.

Serving Size: makes 8 pieces
