    Apple, Gala (or other red cooking apple)(medium), 4 serving
    Brown Sugar, 4 tsp packed
    Butter, salted, 4 tsp
    Mixed Nuts, dry roasted, 4 tsp (or nuts of choice)
    Instant, Quick, and Regular Oats Cereal, 20 grams
    Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp


In small bowl, combine sugar, butter, cinnamon and nuts. Set aside.

Tear off four pieces of aluminum foil. each just big enough for one apple.

Rinse and dry apples. Cut each apple into quarters; keep the quarters of each apple together on cutting board. Core apples and remove stem and flower ends. On each square of foil, reassemble three quarters of an apple. Fill center with one fourth of the nut stuffing. Press final quarter of the apple into place. Seal foil around apple. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees. (can also be baked on a grill or in the coals of a campfire), Turn once or twice to ensure even cooking. Carefully unseal foil to check for apples to be soft all the way through and filling melted together.

Serving Size: 4 servings of one apple each
