This is a deliciously creamy pudding that is so rich that you don't need a large portion. This is a deliciously creamy pudding that is so rich that you don't need a large portion.
Number of Servings: 8


    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/3 cup all purpose flour
    2 cups non-fat milk
    2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    2 tbsp. unsalted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract


In a saucepan set over medium heat, combine the sugar, flour, milk, and chocolate and heat until it begins to boil and thicken. Add some of the mixture into the beaten egg yolks to slowly heat them, preventing them from curdling, and then add the egg yolks back into the pan and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla until no longer visible. Pour the mixture into serving dishes and allow them to cool in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until completely cool.
