This is a wonderful midwestern comfort food! This is a wonderful midwestern comfort food!

    Ground Beef, 90% lean 28 oz
    Onion, chopped, 1 cup
    Sauerkraut, 22 oz jar, drained and rinsed
    mushrooms, canned, 8 oz, drained
    Swiss cheese, shredded, 1 1/2 c.
    Cream of mushroom soup, low fat, 2 cans
    Crescent Rolls, reduced fat, 2 cans
    Garlic Powder, 1 Tbsp
    Onion Powder, 1 Tbsp
    Black Pepper, 2 tsp


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef with onion. Drain. Add drained and rinsed sauerkraut, mushroom soup, mushrooms, cheese, and spices. Spray a 9x13 inch casserole dish with pan spray. Cover bottom of casserole with 8 crescent rolls. Cover with meat mixture. Separate second can of crescent rolls and place over meat mixture. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
