Introduction

Ingredients

    4.5 cup oats (steel cut or whole flake)
    .25 cup oat bran
    .5 cup hulled sunflower seeds
    1 cup sliced almonds or chopped
    .5 cup cashews, chopped
    .5 cup pumpkin seeds
    1.0 cup pecans, chopped
    .5 cup walnuts, chopped
    2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
    .5 cup unsweetened applesauce
    .5 cup maple syrup
    2 Tbsp molasss

Tips

Great sprinkled on top of yogurt and fresh fruit.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350F
Mix together dry ingredients in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, stir together wet ingredients. Pour over dry ingredients and mix together well.
Layer a baking sheet (two if they're small) with foil, and spray with cooking spray. Spread out the mixture over the pan, not more than 1/2" thick.
Bake 15-25 min, stirring every couple of minutes. Watch carefully so it doesn't burn.
Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack. Let cool completely - about 2 hours, stirring every once in awhile.
Keeps about 3 weeks in an airtight container.


Serving Size: 1/4 cup (makes about 11 cups total)
