    1 cup red Sweet pepper, chopped
    1 cup Onions, chopped
    6 cloves Garlic, minced
    8 oz Sweet Italian Sausage
    3-3/4 cup Yams, cubes
    6 tsp Chicken Bouillon
    6 cups water
    1 tsp thyme


In a fry pan; saute onions, pepper, and garlic in a small amount of water until browned (may need to add extra water until desired brown color is achieved). Combine this with yams, water, and bouillon in a slow cooker. Fry sausage until browned, drain and rinse. Add to slow cooker. Cook all this on low for 2 hours or till vegetables are tender and flavors have blended.

  • Great soup but I would cook potato ingredients leaving out the sausage. Puree the the soup and add the sausage in at the end... Very filling - 10/9/13
