Ingredients

    1 19.2 Oz Pack Kroger Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast
    1 cup Chopped Green bell peppers
    1 cup Pearlized onions
    1 Jar Prego Veggie Smart sauce
    2 Large Eggs
    2 Cup Nonfat Cottage Cheese
    1.5 Cups All Natural Parmesan Cheese Finely Shredded
    8 oz Part Skim Milk Mozarella Cheese
    8 Lasagna Noodles

Tips

Do not be tempted to put the cheese on before baking the first time. The cheese tends to stick to the aluminum foil and it pulls it off.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Place extra lean ground beef, chopped green peppers, and pearl onions into a skillet and cook thoroughly. Drain any excess grease from the skillet. Pour sauce into the turkey mixture and stir well. Reduce heat and cover. Let it simmer while you are preparing the cheese mixture.

TO PREPARE CHEESE MIXTURE
Beat two eggs together until well beat. Add the cottage cheese and mix well. Add the parmesan cheese and mix well.

ASSEMBLY
Take a 9 X 13 pan and use cooking spray to coat well. Put a small amount of the sauce and turkey mixture into the bottom of the pan - just enough to barely coat it. Place 4 lasagna noodles on top. Place half of the remaining meat and sauce mixture on top of the noodles. Take the entire cheese and egg mixture and put on top of the meat and sauce. Please the remaining 4 lasagna noodles on top of the cheese mixture. Pour the remaining meat and sauce mixture over the noodles spreading evenly. Cover with aluminum foil tightly. Place in the oven and back for 1 hour. After one hour, remove the lasagna and remove the aluminum foil. Spread the mozarella cheese evenly over the top and place it back in the oven uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let set 10 minutes before serving
