    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 tsp sugar
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 to 1.5 cups heavy cream


Add 2 Tbsp fresh herbs to the flour mixture on step 1. Proceed as directed.

Add 2 ounces (about 1/2 cup) cheese to the flour mixture in step 1. Proceed as directed, increasing baking time to about 18 minutes.


Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together until combined.
Add 1 1/4 cups cream and stir with a wooden spoon until dough forms, about 30 seconds. Add more cream as needed until the dough has come together.
Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead about 30 seconds.
Pat dough into a round 8 inch cake pan, about 3/4 of an inch thick. Turn out of pan onto floured surface and cut out the biscuits. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown, making sure not to over bake. Serve immediately.
