Introduction

I use the same mixture when I make either cabbage rolls or stuffed peppers. Most of the time I make them both at the same time and freeze for later. I use the same mixture when I make either cabbage rolls or stuffed peppers. Most of the time I make them both at the same time and freeze for later.

Ingredients

    4 cups chopped onion
    6 cloves minced garlic
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
    2 cups chopped cabbage
6.5 cups cooked instant brown rice
    2.25 lbs. ground beef
    3 lbs. lean ground turkey
    .5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup low sodium V8 vegetable juice

Tips

I also use any leftover to shape into .25 cup balls and bake for my boys who do not like vegetables. Cook at 350 degrees for about 30-45 minutes until cooked through.

Directions

Mix all ingredients well. Fill cabbage with .5 cup mixture or bell peppers with .75 cup mixture. Bake at 300 degrees about 1-1.5 hours or until mixture is cooked through.

Serving Size: serving size formulated for .25 cup so you can add how ever many servings per pepper or roll.
