    Carrots (3-4)
    Onions (1 large)
    Peppers (1)
    Old Bay Seasoning (1/4 tsp)
    chicken Stock or broth (4 cups)
    Water (2 cups)
    Dried Split Peas (1 lb)
    Thyme (1/4 tsp) dried


This is a recipe to use whatever vegetables and herbs you have on hand.


Sautee vegtables in canola oil until softened. Add salt/pepper and herbs to taste. Add dried split peas (washed and pick-ed through). Stir then add chicken broth and 2 more cups of water. Cover on medium low and let cook till split peas are tender. Using an immersion blender, blend until desired consistency.
