    8-10 cups of water
    1 pound of medium ground beef
    10 tbsp. Bovril beef
    one small onion
    4 tbsp. pearl barley
    2 carrots chopped
    2 small potato


this receipe is a favorite of mine. Lots of sodium but decious. I usually put in the fridge after it cools and then skim off the fat.


Add water, add ground beef broken into small pieces. Add bovril. Cook until meat is done. Add onions, cook for one hour. Add carrots and barley for one hour, then add your potatoes. Cook for 2 more hours. If needed add more water as it vaporates.
