Basic spaghetti recipe with a casserole touch. Basic spaghetti recipe with a casserole touch.
Number of Servings: 12


    1 lb ground beef
    1 lb ground turkey
    1 cup chopped onion
    2 tsp minced garlic
    1 tsp olive oil
    1 18oz package of dry spaghetti noodles
    1 can of Hunt's Spaghetti Sauce (any variety)
    1/2 cup water
    8oz of shredded chedder cheese
    Salt, Pepper & Italian Seasoning to taste


Preheat oven 375 degrees.

Bring a large pot of water to boil for noodles, add noodles once to a boil until noodles are al dente (about 11 minutes).

Saute chopped onion & minced garlic in pan with olive oil. Once onions are translucent add ground beef & ground turkey to brown & cook throughly. Remove from heat & Drain off excess fat. Pour Hunt's sauce over meat mixture & stir throughly.

Spray 13x9 pan with non-stick spray.

Once noodles are done drain water & bring back to pot.

Start the Layering Process: noodles down first spoon meat & sauce mixture over noodles,then top with cheese. Make about 3 layers repeat the process listed above.

Bake for about 15-20minutes until cheese is bubbly.

Remove from oven & let stand about 5 minutes to set.

Makes about 12 servings. Great for large group. Cheap & easy to make

Nice to serve with a green salad or steamed vegetables. (FYI: not included in nutritional Info.)
