Ingredients

    1 Tbsp Oil
    20 oz lean ground turkey breast
    1 cup chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1/4 cup chilli powder
    1 Tbsp ground cumin
    1 can (16 oz) stewed tomatoes
    1 cup ketchup
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup molasses
    1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
    1 Tbsp dry mustard
    2 cans (15.5 oz ea) dark-red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    2 cans (15.5 oz ea) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
    1 can (15 oz) cannelloni beans, rinsed and drained
    1-2 hot peppers (we use habaneros)

Tips

Excellent chilli - people can't get enough of it. It is a staple in our home during the fall & winter months.

Directions

1. Heat oil in a large stew-pot. Add turkey, onion, garlic, chilli powder, and cumin. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring until turkey browns and onion is tender (about 10 min).
2. Stir in tomatoes, ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Add beans. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or longer.

Makes 14 2/3-cup servings

    This is a great recipe - delicious, high fiber and my family likes it! Please note that the nutrition count seems to be missing a can of beans. - 11/9/12
