Ingredients

    1 tbsp margarine
    1 small onion
    3 garlic cloves minced
    1 red bell pepper finely chopped
    1 celery stalk finely chopped
    1 cup instant brown rice
    1/4 tsp marjoram
    4 tbsp dried parsley chopped

Directions

In a large nonstick saucepan, melt the margarine. Saute the onions and garlic until the garlic is lightly browned, 2-3 minutes. Add the bell pepper and celery; saute 2-3 minutes. Add the rice marjoram and 1 1/2 cups of water; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, 5 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in the parsley. Let stand 5 minutes.
