Introduction
Very simple creamed broccoli and cauliflower soup, seasoned with onion, garlic, salt, and both white and black peppers. With a vita mix or blender, very quick meal. Makes four hearty 2-cup servings. Ingredients

* 1 lb of frozen broccoli
* 1 lb of frozen caulifower
* 2 cups of 1% milk
* 4-5 cups of boiling water
* 0.5-1 cup of shredded cheddar or other cheese, your choice (recipe is made with full-fat cheese)
* 1 tbsp of cornstarch (optional)
* 2 tbsp of dried onion or 1-2 tsp of onion powder
* 1 tsp of garlic podwer
* 1-2 tsp of white pepper
* salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
Steam broccoli and cauliflower. If using blender, add to blender and cover with boiling water. Puree. Transfer to sauce pan and add 2 cups of milk and seasonings. Bring to boil and simmer for about 7-10 minutes. Add cheese, stir to blend, serve.
If making using a hand blender, you could either steam vegetables and add to boiling water or boil veggies in water, your choice. Then reduce heat, add milk and seasonings, and simmer as above.
