    1 lb ground beef (browned and drained)
    2 large cans spaghetti sauce
    1 tbsp sugar
    9 lasagna noodles
    1 cup ricotta cheese
    1/2 cup grated parmesan
    1 cup shredded mozzarella or shredded italian blend
    8 slices provolone cheese


Using low fat versions of the cheeses, extra lean ground beef or ground turkey will decrease the fat and calories.


Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil and cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain. In a bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, parmesan and season as desired. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, place a small amount of sauce (lightly cover the bottom) and layer 3 noodles, sliced cheese, ricotta cheese mixture, and meat sauce. Repeat layers twice and top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
