Delicious mixed flour base, not too sweet. Delicious mixed flour base, not too sweet.
Number of Servings: 12


    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 cup all purpose white flour
    1/4 cup loosely packed brown sugar
    1 Tablespoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup butter, chilled
    1 cup fresh blueberries
    1/2 skim milk
    1/4 cup non fat condensed milk
    1 large egg


Add lemon zest if desired.


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Cut butter into the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt mixture.
3.Carefully stir in blueberries to the dry mixture.
4. In a separate bowl beat milks and egg then add to the dry mixture. Knead carefully 3 to 4 times, and just until it comes together. Do not over handle the dough. Divide in half.
5. Spread a small amount of flour on the counter, place half of the dough and shape into a small 6 inch round. cut into 6 wedges. Repeat with 2nd half of dough.
6. Bake on baking sheet for 20 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Serving Size: makes 12 wedges of a 8 inch round, 12 wedges of two 6 inch rounds
