    2 tablespoons oil
    1 pound beef chuck roast
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    14˝ ounces canned tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano
    6 ounces tomato paste
    8 ounces tomato sauce, canned
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1 can Coke or Dr Pepper


Cook 6-8 hours on high in crock pot or until meat is fork tender and can be easily torn apart.


1. Cook 12 ounces fettuccine (or pasta of choice)
2. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet. Brown beef over medium heat.
3. Remove and drain.
4. Place beef in the stoneware.
5. Add onion and garlic.
6. Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt & pepper, and Coke or Dr Pepper,. Pour over ingredients in the stoneware .
7. Cover; cook on Low 8 to 10 hours or on High for 4 to 5 hours.
8. Serve sauce over fettuccine (or pasta of choice).

Serving Size: makes 6-8 servings (1 cup)
