    *90% lean Ground Sirloin, 16 oz or 1lb.
    1 large Egg
    22 Mini Crackers crushed
    2 Green Bell Pepper cut in halves
    Tomato Sauce, Canned, 15 oz
    1/2 onion
    3 shakes of garlic salt
    2 pinches of italian seasoning


may substitute beef for turkey. any mini cracker will work (may also use regular saltines) and melba toast is a low calorie alternative. May use oregano and basil for italian seasoning.


Cut bell peppers in half and blanch in boiling water approximately 2-3 minutes and set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine 1 lb. sirloin, egg, seasoning, crushed crackers. divide into 4 oz servings of sirloin. Stuff each 4oz serving into a pepper half. Spray baking dish or pan with Pam or any cooking spray (low calorie!). Place pepper halves in pan. Slice onion over top of peppers. Place in the oven at 350 for 30-40 min or until done. When 10-15min to done pour can of tamato sauce over top and cook duration of cooking time. Voila!! A great low calorie meal!
