Ingredients

1 1/2 Cup warm water (110 degrees)
2 packets or 4 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 tablespoon honey
2 cups bread flour
1 1/2-2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon each poppy seed, sesame seeds, dried onion flakes
2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions
Pour the warm water into a bowl, stir in the honey until disolved add the yeast and set aside for a few minutes or until bubbly.
In a large mixing bowl combine the 2 cups of bread flour with 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour and the salt. Make a well in the middle and add the yeast and water mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
Place dough onto a lightly floured countertop and begin kneading. Add more whole wheat flour as needed. Knead for about 5 minutes.
Place dough into a bowl oiled with about 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Cover and let rise in a warm draft free place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and divide into 8 even pieces, they shoud be about 3.5 ounces each. Roll each piece into a ball and set aside to rest for a few minutes. Flatten each ball and poke a hole in the middle of it with your finger and stretch it a little to make the hole about as round as a dime. Set aside and cover for 10 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a 2 quart pot boil about 6 cups of water and add 1 teaspoon sugar to the water. Stir to desolve. Reduce heat and keep water at a good simmer.
Place 1 bagel in the simmering water and count to 30 flip the bagel and count to 30 again. Remove from the water with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack. Do this with all the bagels.
Move each bagel to a parchment lined cookie sheet and brush with an egg white mixed with water. Sprinkle the bagesl with the seed mixture.
Bake for about 30-35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
