    1 medium onion
    2 T canola oil
    2 c chunked carrots
    4 medium potatoes
    2 lbs cooked deer meat
    2/3 c quick barley
    2 qt water
    4 beef bouillon cubes
    1 pkg stew seasoning


This assumes the deer meat is already cooked, left over from a previous meal.


Chop vegetables into large chunks. Saute onions in oil until tender. Add water and all other ingredients except stew seasoning. Bring to a boil. Turn down to a simmer and cook for one hour or until vegetables are tender and barley is cooked.
