Introduction

Ingredients

    1 package (8oz) cream cheese (softened)
    3 slices cooked finely crumbled or minced bacon
    24 medium sized mushrooms with stem removed
    2 tbsp. chopped/minced onion
    2 cloves minced/crushed garlic cloves or use garlic powder to taste
    2 tbsp butter for the pan

Tips

Serve on a platter as finger food, or if one is increasing fat intake, melt butter in an oval dish with 4-6 mushrooms as an appetizer or add a few more as a main meal.


Directions

Mix cream cheese, onion, garlic, bacon together until well blended.
Remove stems from the caps and fill the mushroom with mixture. If there is left over mixture, add it to the mushrooms or add more mushroom caps.
Liberally butter the bottom of the pan.
Place caps stuffing side up and broil on low until the mushrooms have started to look wilted and the cream cheese stuffing is beginning to brown.
