    1 c flour
    1 c water
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp hon-dashi powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    6 c shredded cabbage, napa preferably
    1 T butter (divided)


Mix all ingredients except butter into a batter.
Melt 1/2 of butter in a 10-in skillet on med heat. Scoop 1/2 of batter into skillet, smoothing flat.
Cook on both sides until done and cut into wedges.
Repeat with remaining batter.
Serve with okonomiyaki sauce.

Serving Size: makes 8 servings (2-9 inch pancakes)
