    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. canned black beans
    4 eggs
    2/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder


1. Drain black beans, reserving 2 Tbsp. liquid. Puree beans and liquid in food processor or blender until a thick paste is formed (add water, if needed).
2. Mix cocoa, butter, sugar, black bean puree and eggs together in a large bowl until well blended.
3. Mix flour, salt and baking powder together in a small bowl, then stir into wet mixture.
4. Grease a 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray. Pour the batter into pan.
5. Bake 40 minutes at 350 (degrees F), or until brownies test done with a toothpick.
6. Frost with a sprinkling of powdered sugar (optional). Cut into 24 bars.
