    2 Tablespoon melted butter
    3 Tablespoon sugar
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp dry mustard powder
    1 Tablespoon plain flour
    2 eggs well beaten
    3/4 Cup Milk
    1/4 Cup plain Vinegar
    Pinch Cayenne Pepper (optional)


I add my own lable saying 'use by (date)'

And I never waste the bowl, I cut some fresh coleslaw and mix that in the bowl I used to cook salad dressing effectively coating it and no licking the bowl LOL.


either use a double boiler or place a heatproof bowl in a saucepane with water boiling underneath.
Melt butter and add sugar, mustard powder and flour and stir well until smooth.
Add beaten eggs and stir well again until smooth
then slowly add the milk and vinegar mixed together.
Heat slowly, stirring until it becomes thick and creamy
pour into warm jar and allow to cool
When wanting to use, take out a level tablespoon and
thin with a little milk or water to taste
will keep in fridge a month.. I add my own lable saying 'use by (date)'
